iran

For thousands of years, the people of Iran have used water inventively, and even today, most cities and villages have at least one water feature for its citizens to enjoy. Bridges over the larger rivers are more than simply a means of crossing, and many of them are not only attractive monuments in themselves, but have distinctive features to enhance the enjoyment of the water beneath them.

All of the photographs here are from Isfahan, except the last one, from Shushtar.
